Year 6

Overview

Year 6 is a significant and rewarding year, where pupils prepare for the transition to secondary school while consolidating the skills and knowledge they have developed throughout their primary education.

Our Year 6 classes are led by Miss Surridge, who teaches Class 6S, and Miss Mitchell, who teaches Class 6M.

Both teachers are dedicated to supporting pupils both academically and personally during this important stage, ensuring they feel confident, capable, and ready for the next step in their education. In both classes, there is a strong emphasis on independence, resilience, and responsibility, alongside high expectations in all areas of the curriculum.

Pupils are encouraged to challenge themselves, think critically, and take pride in their achievements. Alongside their academic learning, Year 6 children are given opportunities to develop leadership skills, build lasting memories, and celebrate their time at primary school, making it a truly special and memorable year.
